Our country needs young people with an entrepreneurial spirit of a social nature: an outlook that isn’t consumer-centric or materialistic, but altruistic. It is influential leaders of this nature who change our world and make it a better place in which to live.
The extra-mural programme encourages sportsmanship, loyalty, commitment, determination and leadership. We are committed to achieving a 100% matric pass rate and a university endorsement level above the IEB national average. Students are required to respect our staff, our rules, our Code of Conduct and dress code – as well as themselves and their peers. Staff are required to treat students with respect, and demonstrate fair discipline. We are a secular school that acknowledges and respects the diversity of the faiths represented at the school. It is our firm belief that stable, uninterrupted schooling is the most effective way to ensure a solid academic result, a wide range of social skills, and a sense of responsibility. Our students are prepared for further education and employment.
We are an independent school and therefore by Grade 12, students complete the examination for the Independent Examination Board’s Senior Certificate. Most independent schools participate in this examination as it provides fair, consistent and challenging standards, sound marking in ideal conditions, and carefully monitored security policies.
The IEB offers a wide variety of subjects and allows flexibility within the syllabus, making sure that examinations are in line with international requirements. The IEB is recognised at all tertiary institutions in South Africa – and good quality results will provide access to universities overseas.
We offer a low profile Academic Support programme in key subjects after the school day for students who may struggle with a particular subject or concept.
